'AUDACITY' Rosé 2022

At WOODSTOCK we believe that life is best lived being daring with a degree of audaciousness. Risks are for taking, and fears for conquering. Our 2022 ‘Audacity’ Rosé is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon/Grenache/Mourvèdre and Shiraz from selected South Australian vineyards. We hope this wine inspires you to get up and embrace life.

Winemaking
Mild ripening conditions and low rainfall contributed to great flavour concentration and even ripening in our vines over the 2022 growing season. Cool evenings helped retain natural acid which is an important feature in this wine style. The main building block in this wine is early picked McLaren vale Cabernet Sauvignon, providing crisp acidity and subtle fruit character. Ripe Grenache gives the wine perfumed fruit lift on the nose as well as softness and body on the palate. Shiraz and Mataro were also included to enhance the flavour profile and structure.

The Wine
Pale salmon with a hot pink hue, the 2022 Audacity Rosé expresses aromas of ripe pink Lady apple, lemon sorbet and strawberry daquiri. The palate is crisp and lively, with the smallest amount of sweetness being perfectly balanced with natural acidity, providing a refreshing and utterly more-ish finish.
