Wildlife Sanctuary

The Woodstock Wildlife Sanctuary grew from Scott Collett’s decision to conserve approximately three hectares of natural scrub on the Estate to showcase some Australian native animals.

Please note that bookings are essential for this experience!

The Sanctuary

The Woodstock Wildlife Sanctuary is home to Eden, Maple, Rawnsely, Prairie, Abraham, Rooby and Clare; all rescued Western Grey Kangaroos. Together with two emus called Maverick and Goose, they will be the ones meeting and greeting you at our feeding sessions.

The wildlife numbers in the sanctuary continue to grow through breeding, and as more rescued, hand-reared animals are offered to our care.

We encourage you to look up into the majestic gum trees on the Estate, both the ones inside and outside the Sanctuary, as we often have visiting koalas stopping by to nibble on their favourite Eucalypts. Considering koalas can spend up to 20 hours a day sleeping, seeing one quietly perched and fast asleep in the fork of one of our gum trees is not unusual.

We are pleased to be able to offer visitors to Woodstock a unique and truly Australian encounter with the animals in the Sanctuary. We hold a supervised feeding session each day at 11:30am.
